New Year Resolution

Everyone is awaiting for the new year to come and want to do something new in the year ahead. We all think, coming year will bring something new in our life, but once year started seems everything like old and as usual. There is nothing new in our life and we see only calendar has changed. Most of the people take resolution for the new year and they often break after few months. Here we are going to talk about what is real resolution means? What new year can bring new in our life and How can we fulfill our resolution? If we talk about Resolution, most of the people talk about trying to get some good marks, admission in a good college, good job, a better home, foreign trip, etc. But that is not the resolution, actual resolution is to transform our hearts in some better way and that is possible by only doing below things in our life. Association : I will always keep good association. Purity: I will not do Gambling, no meat eating, no illicit sex and no intoxication,. Transparent

Healthy food is the key to a healthy mind

There is an old famous saying, "As the food, So the mind", so we can understand the strong connection between our meal and mind. In our Vedic culture, people were more regulated on their eating and sleeping habits that is the reason they were so intelligent and powerful compare to Us. Actually, there life were fully based on scriptures as it is mentioned in Bhagwad Gita Chapter 6.17: युक्ताहारविहारस्य युक्तचेष्टस्य कर्मसु । युक्तस्वप्‍नावबोधस्य योगो भवति दु:खहा ॥ १७ ॥ He who is regulated in his habits of eating, sleeping, recreation and work can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system. Our food basically classified into three categories, i.e. Satva Guna (Mode of Goodness), Rajo Guna (Mode of Passion) and Tamo Guna (Mode of Ignorance). The foods directly comes from nature, fresh and healthy and cooked in the mode of goodness is known as Satvik Food. And if we take that food in a mode of gratitude towards GOD and thanking them for providing natural

Real meaning of Success

In today's world everyone is looking for success and for that by hook or by crook they want to achieve it. After getting that achievement they need more and more and if they do not get they become frustrated. And we see more of the so called successful people at some level they are not able to tolerate the failure and end up their life. So, here we are going to discuss, what is the real meaning of success? First of all we must understand, Success is not a destination but a journey. In our life we may consider anything of success, but it means opportunity to implore our self more. Definition of success changed as per our situation and time as a child, think I will be successful if I get good marks in my exam and the same child after getting good marks started thinking I will be successful if I get a good job. So we can see it is not fixed at some point we think if we get that thing I may be successful but after getting it into our definition of success got changed. Success is

Changes comes from Within

Everywhere we see, people demand for changes in societies, countries, working cultures and in families. But one thing they forgot, they cannot make changes in other until and unless they do not change themselves. There is a story of one boy, he was falling sick frequently for his sweet eating habits, so his mother went to one saintly person and asked the reason why he is not stop eating sweet as he knows that is the reason I am falling sick again and again. The saint looks that boy and asked mother to come after a week. Mother and son came after a week and met saint one again. Saint told boy,"My dear, please stop eating sweet as it is harming your health." The mother asked that saint, "We came last week, but you did not say anything, why you took a week to say the same thing which could tell before too?" Saint smiled and replied, "That time I was also eating sweet and I thought let me stop first before saying to that boy to stop." So we can learn a mea

Do not get carried away!

Often, we see in young generations most of the youth are lived very simple life in their schooling, but once they reach in college their life style automatically gets changed. Do we ever notice the reason why most of the youngsters drastically changing their habits by getting new association? There is only one reason, when they get new association in their college and while seeing others lifestyle they cannot stop themselves and they carried away in the same flow. And after sometimes they realized, they have made a big mistake in their life as they are more into bad association, addiction and all kinds of bad habits but it's too late to come back again. We are living in this material world so we must have dealt with all kinds of people, but we have to understand we should not get carried away with them. While dealing with people we must take care of few points: 1. To whom we are sharing our thoughts 2. To whom we are sharing our eatables 3. To whom we are sharing our v

Recognizing and accepting mistakes is the key to Success

It is the story of Ramayana, when Ravana kidnapped mother Sita and Lord Rama and Laxmana was searching for mother Sita. They met Sugriva king of Kiskindha who was also in the same situation, out of his own kingdom and away from his family and he agreed to help Rama to find mother Sita. And in Return Lord Rama promised Sugriva, I will give your kingdom and family back to you. Lord Rama killed Sugriva's elder brother Bali and returned Sugriva his empire with his family. After getting his kingdom and family back, Sugriva forgot his promise to Lord Rama and started enjoying his life. After few months Lord Rama sent Laxmana to go and check why Sugriva had not yet come. Out of anger Laxmana told to Rama, "My dear brother who does not fulfil his promise must be punished, I will kill Sugriva". Lord Rama asked Laxmana,"My dear brother you just go and remind Sugriva for his promise and if he does not remember then you can punish him." When Laxmana entered the Kingd

We are going away from Nature

There is nothing wrong if we say, we are living artificial way of life rather than natural life. We think we are upgrading our self by accepting the new trends and cultures of the modern era, but we forgot as we are bound to be work according to our nature. If we take examples of animals, they still work according to their nature, they eat, they sleep, they act according to their own nature. But we as human beings totally denied nature and living as we want in our own way by breaking law of natures. And the results, we can see in today’s human society, people are earning more money but increasing more anxiety, better life style but more depression, varieties of foods but more health issues. Why it's happening, have we ever thought for a while? As We are trying best in our life but our life becoming worst. There is only one reason, if we do not accept nature, then nature will also reject us. Gradually we are losing our quality by dealing with machines and electronic gadgets. A

Freedom means Danger

In the modern age, we are trying to be liberated from all the bondage and want to be free. Students want teacher free education, citizen wants government free civilization and son wants father free enjoyment. I am going to share you a nice story about freedom. There was a boy he wanted to be free from all the disciplines of his father as his father used to tell him what to do and what not to do. As he has grown up, he went to his higher education in a foreign country and after finishing his study and he got a job over there. He thought now I am free, I can spend my money where I want to be and this way he was very much happy. But all sudden he got letter of his father and there was mentioned, "My son, I am very glad you got job salary of 50,000 $ p/m, you can keep 5000 $ for your own expenses and rest send it to me." After reading this he got shocked and thought how I am unlucky I can not enjoy my own money where I want, as others are enjoying. He was very upset, but

How much is too much?

When we talk about enjoyment and sense pleasure we want everything endless and more in compare to others. But do we ever thought, how much is too much for us? When we see others they are enjoying more than us then  feel little inferior and always feel envious to that person. Whatever we have we forgot to enjoy but what others have we always look for it to get and enjoy. And this way we make our life more miserable. We should never compare to others, comparison makes a person envious, he will always be restless and can not keep happy himself. First thing we must understand that, there is no end of our sense pleasure and how much we supply that much it demands, so let me ask myself how much do we need exactly? There are two things people need in their life one is necessity and other is luxury, We must understand the difference between luxury and necessity. And if we fulfill our necessity then there is no question of frustration and miseries but if we look for luxury then our whole

Today's media is like Soorpankha of ancient time

In today's world media is playing a vital role in our life. We can see everywhere from child to old people everyone is busy in their own world. I am not against the media and development but does it really worth to put our all the efforts in virtual world for sense pleasure which gives nothing but depression, tension, anxiety, away from reality. It is just an medium to take advantage of it and for whom it is useful it is ok but not for everyone. As a knife is worth in doctor hand but worst in thief hand. Knife is ok but how we are using it that is more important? I am going to share you story from Ramayana. When Lord Rama was in their exile along with Mother Sita and Laxman, Soorpankha a demonic nature lady (sister of Ravana) was freely roaming in jungle. When she saw Lord Rama,  because of her lusty desire she expressed her desire but Rama refused telling that I am already married you go Laxmana. She went to Laxmana and He also refused saying, I am the servant of my bro

Success in Failure

There is a nice story in Ramayana about Vulture King Jatayu. When Lord Rama along with his brother Laxman and mother Sita were staying in Forest during their exile period, demon king Ravana planned to kidnap mother Sita. He made plan with Maricha and told Maricha to take a form of golden deer and try to attract Sita and then Ram will try to catch you. When Rama will shoot arrow on you, you would call hey Sita, hey Laxmana and this way I can kidnap Sita. Ravana made his plan successful and kidnap mother Sita. But after a short distance vulture king Jatayu came on his way and showed his anger to Ravana to leave mother Sita. But Ravana refused to do so and then Jatayu fought with Ravana as He was too old to fight with Ravana but even He tried his best to protect mother Sita. Ravana tired fighting with Jatayu and then he pulled his sword and cut Jatayu's wings and this way Jatayu fall down and then Ravana went away with mother Sita. When Lord Rama and Laxman saw Jata

Learning lesson from Hanuman Ji

When Hanuman Ji jumped to cross the ocean for Lanka to search for mother Sita. He faced many challenges on His way and how he tackled with that, we can see and learn lesson from it. Hanuman Ji met with 4 people before reaching to mother Sita and how He dealt with them here we can see. 1. Mainak --Relaxation Hanuman Ji first met with mountain Mainak, Mainak asked Hanuman Ji to relax for some time and then go but Hanuman Ji accepted his offer but told with gratitude I must finish my task first then only I can relax. So when we start doing something our near and dear one sometime tell us to just relax do it after some time what is hurry into it. But actually we should never forget our mission. 2. Surasa --Comparison After that He met Surasa. She asked Hanuman ji to go inside my mouth I will eat you as Lord Barhma has given me benediction no one cross me before entering my mouth. Hanuman Ji requested I will but let me go first and do my job in return I promise you I will enter i

Do not get demotivated by others

There was frog climbing competition, so many frogs assembled to join it. They were so much excited about it, who will win that? Once competition started frogs were started climbing one by one and there was so much loud of people started telling frogs, you cannot reach on top, you don’t have that much power. Slowely-slowely frogs started falling down one by one and finally one Frog reached on top. Seeing this one person asked to that frog, “How did you reach over there as all frogs fall down? That frog did not answer. Once again, he asked the same question to the frog, same thig happened this time too. So, one frog told to that person, he is deaf he can not listen. The person understood, the reason how he reached on top. Moral of the story, People will try to demotivate you but if you have full faith on God and yourself, no one can stop you to achieve your goal. But if you try to listen them you will fall down. In Bhagwad Gita Chapter 18.78, it is already declared

Envy Kill us

Long-long ago there was a great demon king known as Hirnya Kashyapu. He was so powerful and cruel to good people. But fortunately he had a good son Prahlad, he loved his son very much, When Prahlad grown up, he send him school to learn politics, democracy and diplomacy from his teachers Shand and Amarak (sons of   Great Demon Guru Shukracharya). But Prahald was opposite of it and he was more into humility and believe in every living entities are part and parcel of Krishna so we should be equal to all. After break time of his school, he used to teach his friends not to be envious from any one. Because, we all should be kind with each other this way we can form a Godfull society and then God also love to all of us. After few days Hirnyakashyapu called his son and asked him, “My dear son, what all things you learn from your teacher.” Prahlad replied, “My dear father we all are son of Krishna so we should behave equal and not to be envious with anyone, nobody is our enemies

Why Guru is so Important in our life?

Hare Krishna, Wish you all a very happy Gita Jayanti. When We talk about Bhagwad Gita then we are talking about the real knowledge and real knowledge comes from real Guru and real Guru comes from Guru-Disciple succession. So In Bhagwad Gita also Arjuna accepted Krishna as his Guru (as Krishna is known as Krishnam Vande Jagat Guru) not to just to show to the world but he was confused about his duty, what to do and what not to do? Although he was very much powerful on material platform. So here we can understand, how much we are Wealthy, Powerful and Knowledgeable but at certain point of time we get bewildered, that time we needed Guru for right guidance.  Most of the people think they can get knowledge from anywhere as there are so many mediums are available in today's era. But actually they forget one thing, what we get from today's medium is not a proper knowledge but it is just an information. For proper knowledge we must got to the person who don't comes under b

If you are confused take shelter of right person

There was a king and he was very scholar and famous in his kingdom. One day he went for hunting and while returning he got hurt. Ministers called many doctors and look for his health. Doctors advised he need proper rest as he not in his proper consciousness so till the time he did not cure properly no one should ask him for any decision. When this news spread across neighborhood kingdom the enemies Kings try to attack on his kingdom. They started making plan how can we attack on his kingdom. Some how minister got to know this, but he was not able to take decision and as per doctor he was not supposed to disturb the king also. Minister became totally confuse and do know, what to do now in this situation that time one wise person came and ask him what is your problem? But ministers refused to tell him his problem. He then again asked him if you are going tell me the problem without hesitation then only I can help you. Then minister told his entire story to that person and then

Anger is short form of Danger

There was a great King in northern state city of Mathura his name was Kamsa.  He was ruling his kingdom Mathura and He was very Angry and Cruel by nature people of his kingdom were not so happy but due to his angry nature nobody was willing to say something to him. Kamsa was having a beautiful sister name as Devaki, he was very much affectionate with his sister. When Devaki was aged to marry King Vasudev, Kamsa himself was the charioteer of Vasudeva and Devaki. But on the way there was an oracle to just warn Kamsa, you are foolish person Don’t you know the 8 th child of Vasudeva and Devaki is going to kill you. On listening this Kamsa immediately got angry and pulled Devaki down from chariot and trying to kill her immediately but Vasudev with his folded hand praised Kamsa not to kill Devaki and promised Kamsa I will give you all the born child to you as you are having danger with child not with Devaki. Kamsa agreed but he was not a stable mind person, He asked his ministe

Everyone has its own nature

Govind and Devendra was a neighbor and they were studying in same school.   Govind was little lazy and he always used to woke up in morning very late. And when he woke up he used to see, Devendra has finished his study and ready to go to school. He always used to think, I will also wake up earlier than Devendra and I will finish my study earlier than him. This way he started waking up very early and studying and finish it before Govind wake up. But after certain days he fall sick and his body became weak due to improper sleep. His parents visit to doctor and ask the reason. Doctor told to his parents, “As he is not a habit waking up early but due to sudden change of his nature his body not cope up it but if he will do it gradually it will be all right.” His parent told to Govind, “My dear child you should not do anything all sudden, you should do it slowely-slowely then it be good for you.” In Bhagwad Gita Chapter 3.33, Lord Krishna says to Arjuna: सदृशं चेष्टते

We should not compare our self to others

Ram and Shyam studying in same school both were good friends, but Ram was very good in sports and Shyam was very good in study. Most of the time Shyam gets appreciation for his sports activities and some time Ram gets appreciation for his study. But Ram started feeling envious to Shyam and thinking, Shyam is getting more attraction than me from teachers. And this way he asked to his sports teacher, “Sir, I also want to play sports.” But his sports teacher explained Ram nicely, “Look Ram, you are not physically fit for sports and you are already doing your best in study so you should focus on your study rather than sports and not every person can do everything” But by feeling inferior to Shyam, he forced his sports teacher to give my admission in sports and this way he got admission in sports. He started practicing too much to prove himself better than Shyam. This way he started spending more time on sports than study and slowely-slowely he became poor in his class. The day

We are not the doer

There was a boy in the school, he always used to think I am the doer of everything and everything I wish I can do. But his mother used to tell him always, “my dear child you should not think like this, you will be proud, and nobody will like you.” He always used to keep telling his mother, “Mother! You don’t worry your son is scholar and he always stood first in his class, no one can compete with me.” That boy become arrogant and he always used to speak with his classmates in very rude way. There was exam time came and he was always feeling and excited I am the only one who get good marks as regularly he used to get. Exam started and he was doing very good in his all the paper. One day that was his final exam, he thought I must feel relax even my all papers gone well and this is the easy one so no need to worry. He was in little relaxation mode, but his mother was worried with his behavior and She told, “look! my boy I am going out for some work and your exam is at 8 O’clock
