Our scriptures teaches us everything and tell us how to take our own responsibility as a son. In Srimad Bhagwatam Canto 2 Chapter 7 it is mentioned when King Vena became unrighteous and started following the path which was against Vedic Scriptures. Result all Brahmans became angry and cursed King Vena to take birth in very lower caste family with improper bodily features. Long life, obedience, good reputation, righteousness, prospects of being promoted to higher planets, and blessings of great personalities are all vanquished simply by disobedience to a great soul. One should strictly try to follow in the footsteps of great souls. Maharaja Pṛthu, the incarnation of God, descended by the prayer of the Brahmaṇas to rectify the disorders on earth.
