There are four bonafide vasihanava sampradayas – all starting from Vishnu or Krishna. These are Brahma Sampradaya, Laxmi Sampradaya, Shiva Sampradaya & Kumar Sampradaya (Four kumars). When Veda become the medium of sense gratifications for the selfish people and they started killing the innocent animals and give up religions principles from their life. Then Lord Buddha took incarnation to save the world and He rejected Veda and taught to the people, "Live and let others live". He taught "Ahimsa parmo dharma". Do not kill the innocent animals. People rejected Veda, result there were no way to go to this material world by Vedic principles. Finally Shankaracharya (incaranation of Lord Shiva) came and re-established the religion by spreading the Vedic knowledge all over the country.
