Most of us set our Goal and start working on it slowly-slowly to achieve that, but when we reach at some level we distract from our path and start doing something else. And that is the reason most of us failed to achieve our Goal and become failure. There is a nice past times in the Srimad Bhagwatam first canto about the great sage Narada Muni, when his mother died, he left his home for self-realization under the direction of great sages. Narada Muni was only 5 years old but he was fully determined about his Goal and when he left his home and went through forest he saw very beautiful places, rivers, gardens and hills but he stayed for some time and left because he always keep reminding himself, "Is it my ultimate Goal?" After crossing rivers, forests he reached in a very beautiful city where he saw so much opulence and palaces, people requested Narada Muni to stay there as he was a little child but Narada Muni asked himself, "Is it my ultimate Goal?"
