Destiny is more powerful than our efforts

It is said that, What you sow, shall yo reap. and our Karma decides our destiny,  that is why our scriptures strictly warn us not to do such activities which lead us towards bad karma. And once we accumulate our Karma our destiny is fixed, no one can change it. When the Mahabharta war was ended and Lord Krishna was going to Dwarka on the way to Dwarka Lord Krishna met to a sage named Udanka. King greeted Krishna and asked for welfare of others, My dear Lord is everything is all right? Lord Krishna replied, yes! everything is alright but one thing the war of Mahabharta took place and many people died in it. Sage Udanka asked, But my dear Lord if you wish you could have been stooped such a huge loss of human being. How many people died in the war? Lord Krishna replied, Only 12 men survived and War lasted for eighteen days. 5 Pandvas,  Ashwathama, Kripacharya, Vrishaketu , Yuvutsu ,  Satyaki ,  Kritivan and Me. There were 7 Akshaunis armies from  Pandvas side and 11 Akshaunis armies from

There is remedy for everything but no remedy for envy

It is often seen people are not much worried about there own desires and ambitions but when they see others desires getting fulfilled but they are unable to fulfill there own desire they become envious towards others. Being envious towards others is the biggest problem of today's world. It is sometimes acceptable we do  not have something but it is never acceptable if that things belong to our neighbour. Diti was in the same condition, she goes to sage Kashyapa Muni and asked to fulfill her desires while Kashyapa was performing yagna that time. Due to envious by other queen Diti wanted Kashyapa Muni to have association in evening which is the time one must avoid to do such type of activities.  There is place, time and circumstances to do particular things we can not do anything at any place and any time. अथापि काममेतं ते प्रजात्यै करवाण्यलम् । यथा मां नातिरोचन्ति मुहूर्तं प्रतिपालय ॥ 3.14.22 ॥ Even though it is not possible to repay you, I shall satisfy your sex desire immediately

Why we are not happy, although we have tried so many tips & tricks?

In comparison to our ancient times there are so many things we have invented to make ourselves happy & peaceful today. But still when it comes to our peace and happiness it is missing from our life. Although we have so many Youtube videos, Facebook friends, Instagram apps to make our-self happy and stress free but why does it not work for long time? What is the root cause of it? In Srimad Bhagwatam it is mentioned after Vyasdeva composed 4 Vedas and 108 Upanishads still he was not fully satisfied from His composition and feeling sad. When the great sage Narada come to see Vyasdeva and asked, what is the reason you feel sad, you should be happy you have composed so many scriptures and given to the people? Vyasdeva replied, you are great and knows everything from heart of the living entities you know better why I feel sad, although I have composed so many scriptures but still something is missing in that that is the reason I am still unhappy. Sage Narada smiled and said, My dear Vyas

No one can defeat you until you accept defeat from yourself

Sometimes we failed to handle the situation and finally we surrender our-self to people and situation. But people and situation are not much stronger than our will, once we accept how strong our will power is and how much we have faith on Krishna that makes us more strong. People and situation might be stronger than us but until and unless we do not accept them as stronger they are nothing but once we accept defeat from our own we lose our strength. There was two powerful demon names Ahiravana and Mahiravana who kidnapped Lord Rama and Laxmana to lower planet (Patal Loka) during the war against Ravana. Only Hanuman Ji was capable to handle this situation and bring Lord Rama and Laxmana back to earth and save their lives.  Vibhishana warned Hanuman Ji, they are not ordinary demons they are very great and powerful and you have to be very careful while fighting with them. When Hanuman Ji entered into Patal Loka, he saw on entrance there was five lamps were burning in five different direct

Love means Sacrification not Gratification

The definition of love does not mean to satisfy our own senses and pleased by person  whom we love instead when we love someone we don't even think of our own comfort but to serve that person become the only motto of our life. Love means sacrifice, when we love someone we must be ready for all sacrifices what comes in between. We know how much love for Lord Rama is in the heart of Laxmana and same Lord Rama also has affection with Laxmana. But from one incident we will get to know how Laxmna served Lord Rama and for keeping Lord Rama's promise and happiness, how happily he chose his own death. When Lord Rama killed Ravana and ruled Ayodhya for 11,000 years, one day when Lord Rama was sitting with Laxmana and discussing some political matter then suddenly Time in the form of a sage came and ask Lord Rama to discuss some urgent matter immediately. He asked Lord Rama no one should hear our discussion and if someone hears our conversation he will meet to death and there should be s

Happy Makar Sankranti!

Wish you all a very happy Makar Sankranti. This is considered to be a very auspicious day according to our Vedic Scriptures. The Sun God who provides light and heat and lots of crops get benefited out of him considered to go from south to north direction sitting on his chariot pulled by seven horses. On this auspicious day the great personality Bhisma Pitamah left his body and went to abode of Lord Krishna who was on bed of arrows for eighteen days during the war of Mahabharta.  Although he was in very much painful situation but he waited to Lord Krishna to come in front of him and after seeing Lord Krishna he could leave his body.  Bhisma Pitamah was not an ordinary person but a great devotee of Lord Krishna and one Mahajana out of twelve. It proves that when he was on bed of arrows and blood was continuously running through his body and he was feeling several pains but he was still waiting for Krishna to come. Although he got boons from Lord Brahma he can chose his death from his own

A Servant who challenged his Master

Srila Prabhupada often used to share one story of sage and mouse where mouse comes to sage and ask for his protection from cat and sage changed mouse to become a cat and again when Lion chase the mouse who became dog now. Sage make mouse from dog to lion and when mouse become lion he started looking to sage and sage understood he want to eat me and cursed to become mouse once again. Sometimes, the person who make us great and give power, due to false ego we become envious from that person. This is the story of great demon King Dasagriva who went to worship Lord Shiva and went through so much austerity and finally when Lord Shiva appeared in front of Dasagriva, Dasagriva arrogantly said to Lord Shiva, If you had taken more time now then I would have taken you from here along with mount Kailash to my place Lanka. Lord Shiva smiled and said, "Is it so?" So why not you carry me along with mount Kailash? On hearing this foolish Dasagriva from his 20 hands started lifting mount Kai

Fall Down of Ravana

Our Vedic Scriptures warn us from every stages of our life, how to stay alert and avoid sins. But sometimes our anger, lust and greed become so high we can not even think of what actually we are doing and if someone warn us we try to offend them also. Ravana was a very scholar a great devotee of Lord Shiva and got boons from Lord Brahma too and that is why he was very much puffed up by his knowledge, position and false ego. Due to that, he started offending others and that was the beginning of his end. First, he offended Nandi the carrier of Lord Shiva by saying, how ugly you looks and Lord Shiva sit upon you look at my carrier Pushpak Viman so beautiful and runs like anything. Nandi cursed Ravana, the day will come when monkey will be the cause of your destruction. Second, he offended Anaranya the king of Ayodhya in the dynasty of Ikshvaku  and King Anaranya cursed Ravana saying, One day the great warrior will take birth in my dynasty and kill you. Third, he offended Vedvati the gra

The King who sold himself to protect Dharma

Bharata the land is very famous for many great personalities whether it is sacrifice, austerity, honesty or truthfulness. In the line of Ikshvaku dynasty where supreme personality of Godhead Lord Rama Himself descended there was a great king named Harish Chandra. He was very famous for his honesty and truthfulness. When their fame reached in heaven and demigods planning to take test of King Harish Chandra great sage and spiritual master of King Harish Chandra Vashishtha agreed to take test of his disciple any time. Hearing this sage Vishwamitra who was little envious to Vashishta asked, "What if your disciple fail in test?" Sage Vashishtha replied very confidently, "I will give up my position of sage and live a normal life". Vishwamitra agreed, he went to take test of King Harish Chandra. He created a kingdom from his mystic power where three beautiful girls were there, one day while Harish Chandra was going through these girls warmly welcomed and Harish Chandra ple
