Love means Sacrification not Gratification

The definition of love does not mean to satisfy our own senses and pleased by person  whom we love instead when we love someone we don't even think of our own comfort but to serve that person become the only motto of our life.

Love means sacrifice, when we love someone we must be ready for all sacrifices what comes in between.

We know how much love for Lord Rama is in the heart of Laxmana and same Lord Rama also has affection with Laxmana.

But from one incident we will get to know how Laxmna served Lord Rama and for keeping Lord Rama's promise and happiness, how happily he chose his own death.

When Lord Rama killed Ravana and ruled Ayodhya for 11,000 years, one day when Lord Rama was sitting with Laxmana and discussing some political matter then suddenly Time in the form of a sage came and ask Lord Rama to discuss some urgent matter immediately.

He asked Lord Rama no one should hear our discussion and if someone hears our conversation he will meet to death and there should be someone who must guard us no one should interrupt us else you have to punish him as penalty of death.

Lord Rama agreed and assured Time do not worry, you know we always keep our promise even it comes to our lives does not matter.

Time was discussing with Lord Rama saying, "My dear Lord your time is about to finish as in the form of human and Lord Brahma has told to remind you to come back to your spiritual abode now."

When discussion was going inside there great sage Durvasha Muni appeared and told Laxmana to tell Lord Rama to meet me immediately as it is very urgent.

But Laxamna told Durvasha Muni, My dear sage, Lord Rama has told me not to disturb as He is busy in some serious discussion.

On hearing this Durvasha Muni got angry and told Laxmana, you know me very well if you don't follow my order I will curse to whole Ayodhya and it will burn into ashes.

Laxmana already knew the anger of Durvasha Muni, He thought if he curse whole Ayodhya will suffer and if I disturb Lord Rama only I have to lose my life.

It is better if I serve Lord Rama and lose my own life and save Ayodhya too.

Laxmana agreed and asked Durvasha Muni to go and meet Lord Rama.

We see from this context, how Laxmana's love was for Lord Rama as He chose his own death but He never demands for His own pleasure.

The person who served His brother Lord Rama with full determination even not slept for 14 years during exile and always be with Lord Rama  during war against Ravana.

If we see from the life of  Laxmana , He has only done his scarifies all the time without any demand from his own pleasure.

When we love someone, we should think of his pleasure not for own gratification.

Hare Krishna!

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
