Fall Down of Ravana

Our Vedic Scriptures warn us from every stages of our life, how to stay alert and avoid sins. But sometimes our anger, lust and greed become so high we can not even think of what actually we are doing and if someone warn us we try to offend them also.

Ravana was a very scholar a great devotee of Lord Shiva and got boons from Lord Brahma too and that is why he was very much puffed up by his knowledge, position and false ego.

Due to that, he started offending others and that was the beginning of his end.

First, he offended Nandi the carrier of Lord Shiva by saying, how ugly you looks and Lord Shiva sit upon you look at my carrier Pushpak Viman so beautiful and runs like anything.

Nandi cursed Ravana, the day will come when monkey will be the cause of your destruction.

Second, he offended Anaranya the king of Ayodhya in the dynasty of Ikshvaku  and King Anaranya cursed Ravana saying, One day the great warrior will take birth in my dynasty and kill you.

Third, he offended Vedvati the grand daughter of Guru Vrihaspati, Ravana's biggest weak point was women, he was very lusty and always looking for women to enjoy and he touched Vedvati who was engaged in austerity to please Lord Vishnu and she cursed, In future I will take birth as a girl child and that will be cause of your destruction. And Vedvati took birth in the form of mother Sita.

Fourth, Ravana forcefully tried to enjoy with her daughter in law Rambha (wife of Nalkubera) and Nalkubera cursed to Ravana, from now on wards if you touch any woman without her permission your body will be in pieces.

Fifth, there is a saying, if you learn from your past mistakes then mistakes are good but Ravana was not such type of person he was repeating the same mistake again and again. Finally he did a big mistake and that caused his death. He kidnapped mother Sita and that was his count down.

Here we can see, how a great scholar a devotee of Lord Shiva fall down and become victims of Lust, Anger and Greed.

If we become arrogant and puffed up by our scholarly position then we try to offense elders and disrespect women and then our fall down is for sure.

We should not collect curse but blessing, Ravana accumulated cursed and that is why his all pious activities gone into vain.

Hare Krishna!

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
