Why Lord Shiva took form of Gopi in Vrindavana?

On this auspicious day of Shravana month which is considered to be very auspicious to please Lord Shiva, we will share one interesting fact about Lord Shiva, how He transform Himself in the form of lady (Gopi) in Vrindavana & became very famous as "Gopishwar Mahadev”. When Lord Krishna was performing Rasa-Dance with Gopis, Lord Shiva heard melodious sound of Krishna's flute, He became very curious to participate in the Rasa-Dance but when He reached at Banshi Vata, He stopped because only Gopis are allowed to enter into the Rasa Dance. He took form of a beautiful Gopi and Lord Krishna gave name as "Gopishwar Mahadev” and also blessed Lord Shiva, if anyone take darshan of Lord Shiva as "Gopishwar Mahadev” Lord Shiva fullfill his desire to complete his devotional activities. Lord Shiva shared His realization after visiting that place BanshiVata (Banshi means Flute and Vata means Banyan tree) as; "There is no place like Vrindavan, there is no village like Nand

Happy Guru Purnima

Guru means who transform our heart from ignorance with true knowledge. Finding a Guru is a very difficult task, it is said that when Lord becomes pleased and see a real seeker is searching for true Guru, He send Guru in our life. When Guru enters in our life, we become enlighten by true knowledge just by the mercy of our Spiritual master. By serving the Guru we can progress in our life and can reach very soon at advanced stage. We can serve our Guru by two ways, by following their instructions and by serving them physically. But it is better to serve our Guru by following their instructions whole life instead of serving physically (because it may not be possible for every individual). But in modern world we see, people who get some material knowledge or learn some technology accept their teacher as Guru and that is not even wrong but the real Guru is who teaches us the knowledge from which we can get rid of birth and death cycle. In old days there was no such difference in Teacher and

Longest journey begins with the first step

When it comes to our goal, we think of too much, how can we achieve that? What will be the challenges? What is the obstacles in our path to achieve our goal? Here we are going to discuss about how can we achieve a big goal by taking our first step. There is a true story I am going to share with you from where we can learn, How a first step can help to achieve a big goal.  There was a sparrow, she laid her eggs on the shore of the ocean. After some time when she came, there is no eggs there, the Ocean carried away the eggs on its waves. The sparrow asked for her eggs from the ocean to return, but Ocean refused to return. Then Sparrow asked, "If you won't return my eggs back, I will dry to you." Ocean laughed on the Sparrow and replied, "Do you think you can dry to me." The sparrow become very upset and she began to pick out the water in her small beak, and everyone laughed at her for her impossible determination. The news of her activity spread, and when finally

The Lord of the Universe - Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra Festival

Today the whole world is celebrating the festival of chariot (Rath Yatra) of Lord of Universe Sri Jagannth along with His elder brother Baldeva Ji and loving sister Subhadra Maiya. Many of us may not we aware of this festival and about Sri Jagannath, Baleva and Subhadra Maiya but our founder Acharya Srila Prabhupada has already introduced this chariot festival to the globe 50 years back from Newyork city and he taught his disciples Sri Jayananda Prabhuji and His Holiness Jay Pataka Swami Maharaj to celebrate this festival in western country. In brief Lord Jagannath is none other than Lord Krishna Himself and Baldeva Ji is Anant Sesha (Balram Ji or Laxman Ji) and Subhadra Maiya is sister of both. He appeared in the form of wood in the age of Kali to shower His causeless mercy on fallen soul like us, because most of us are having no time to go to the temple and see the God. Jagannath Ji is so merciful He himself come on the road sitting on chariot along with Their brother and sister to g

An Ocean can not drown the ship until we do not allow the water into the ship

There is a saying, All the water in the Ocean can not drown the ship as long as we do not allow the water into the ship. Same way, no one can disturb us until we do not allow the person to create disturbance in our life. But due to our weakness at body level, mind level and intelligence level we can not understand the situation and we get dragged into it.  Here we are going to discuss about, how can we keep away from out side disturbance created by people and situations by simply following just five steps/ To live an undisturbed life, we have to follow these 5 steps: 1. Body level: A person should never keep himself in alone in four wall, a person should go for a walk in morning and evening spent some time in sunlight and healthy air. 2. Mental Level: We must have one friend whom  we can share our thoughts and take some chill pill. 3. Intelligence Level : We should spend some time reading our Vedic Scriptures i.e. Bhagwad Gita, Ramayana, Srimad Bhagwatam etc which sharp our intellig

Envy destroy ourselves more than destroying others

There is a saying, If you want to destroy yourself completely, be envious towards others. The person who has envy towards others will never live his life peacefully. The main reason behind be become envious towards others is, when other person get something and I may not be able to get that things. But being envious we not only become restless and make our life miserable but we also makes others life miserable too. When Prajapati Daksha became envious towards Lord Shiva, he organised a big sacrifice but did not invited Lord Shiva due to envy. But Lord Shiva did not felt anything but Mother Sati felt very much insult to Lord Shiva and she jumped into sacrificial fire. After hearing this Lord Shiva sent to Virbhadra and told to destroy sacrifice and cut Daksha's head. When Lord Shiva pacified by Lord Brahma he gave Daksha a head of Goat. But the moral of the story is Envy destroy us more than others. We only experience the pain and harming more to us than to other person. What is the
