Why Scriptures are important in our life?

One person was debating, I do know everything how to live my life and I am very happy with it, why do I require any guidance from scripture. I asked him, do you keep your health check regularly? He replied, Yes! Of course I do. Then why do you go to doctor to check up your health regularly if you already caring of your diets and other things? I asked him. He replied, because doctor knows it very well and remind me if something goes wrong in my regular diet and ask me to correct it. I replied him, same way although we know everything, but when we accept scripture in our life it reminds us time to time when we forget something. Finally he agreed and accept, yes it is true we can't remember everything at a time but when we read scripture regularly then it reminds us what to do and what not to do. Srila Prabupada used to quote to their disciples, If you read my books regularly you will never fall down, my books will always protect you. One should understand the importance of our Vedic

Never miss this golden opportunity!

In sports when player perform well he is in the team and he get chance to play the match which is very much important for that team. And if he continue his performance then he get rewards and maintain it constantly and always take care of nothing goes wrong. It is a big responsibility for a player if he is performing well and got a chance to play in the winning team. Same way it's an golden opportunity for us to get a chance in 8.4 million species in the form a of human being and if we do not take it seriously and just waste it for eating and sleeping then we never know when will get this chance again. Whatever we are getting in this life is a fruitive result of our past lives,  and what we do in this life is preparation of our future life. We should never think our wealth, health, prosperity and all is earned by us in this life only it is an big illusion for us. Lord Brahma in Srimad Bhagwatam Canto 3.8 explained a swan and a crow are from same species but there is a lot of differ

Wish you all a very happy Guru Purnima!

I would like to wish you all on this Guru Purnima, this is mentioned in our Vedic Scriptures that Guru is the only one who make a living being to true human being. Without Guru no one is capable enough to cross this ocean of darkness in this world. It is mentioned in Srimad Bhagwatam Lord Brahma considered to be the first living entities in this universe having four mouths were trying to find the truth but after his all efforts from long time he failed to do so then he accepted Lord Vishnu as his Guru. Why we celebrate Guru Purnima? Guru Purnima is an auspicious day of Srila Vyasdeva (Krishna Dwaipayan Vyas) appearance who is none other than Lord Krishna's incarnation, he is in the form of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. that is why we see in the shloka while glorifying Srila Vyasdeva as; गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णु गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरा गुरुर्साक्षात परब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः।   Srila Vyasdeva is son of a great sage PArasara Muni and mother Satyavati, from his childhood

Forgiveness is the basis of all relationships

Instead of forgiving someone we think if I punish to the person will be the geat revenge and I will be more happy then, but when we punish someone we not only lose of our own peace and happiness but also lose the person for life long whom we punish. There is a very nice incident about forgiveness in Srimad Bhagwatam (3.8.9) even the person is capable enough to punish to the others. But instead of punish he accept forgiveness and that is why we are remembering him now for his great act. The great sage of the name Pulastya is the father of all demoniac descendants. Once upon a time Parashara Muni began a sacrifice in which all the demons were to be burnt to death because his father had been killed and devoured by one of them. The great sage Vasishtha Muni arrived at the sacrifice and requested Parsara Muni to stop the deadly action, and because of Vasishtha Muni position (Vasishtha Muni considered to be the great sage for his austerity, tollerence, behaviour and action and he is one who

The best way to waste our valuable time

Many of us may complain we have no time at all in my life we are so much busy but if we see from most of the people are just wasting their time in doing nonsense things which has not value at all. It seems like we are spending few mins with our gadgets, few mins in chit-chats, few mins in gossiping and few mins in judging others but if we accumulate all together it makes huge impact in our daily lives. "With the falling of just  drops  of water, the  pot  gradually gets  filled  up". So by just wasting our single moment of our life can makes a great difference in our life if we use it for a better cause. Here are major things we waste our time without even knowing: 1. Day Dreaming:  Some people do nothing but just day dream and in their dream they do so many great things even a great person can not think of it. This is actually a major way of wasting our valuable time by keeping our eyes open and being in to the imaginary world. Imaginations are sometimes okay, but not all th

Don't allow others to affect you

Often we see people seeking approval from others to be happy. If they grant our happiness then we become happy otherwise we feel sad.  To grow personally and also in our relationships with others, we can not allow people to affect us negatively. Because we see most of the people surrounded by us are demotivating people few of them are rare to motivate us in our difficult times. So we have to take our own responsibility emotionally and for that we must be internally very strong and there comes spiritual practice, the person who are internally strong much by his regular sadhana can never get affected by surroundings and negative people. And that is why Lord Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita one should focus on and if he is fully determined he will not get bewildered by many things. So our main problem is we are not fully focused on our goal that is why these surrounding and negative people affect us but if we are determined and focused on our goal then we are never concerned about these thing

Arguing with a fool only proves there are two

When every ministers of Ravana try to advise him to return mother Sita to Lord Rama and close the matter as soon as possible still nothing has gone wrong but due to false ego Ravana did not hear any one. Finally Vibhishana also tried to give Ravana a last chance and asked, my dear brother please return mother Sita and this way we all can be protected from the fear of Lord Rama else everything will be lost in front of your eyes only. After hearing the suggestion from Vibhishana Ravana shouted and asked told Vibhishana as a coward and insulted in his assembly in front of his ministers. Vibhishana was able to reply and give proper reaction to Ravana and many of the ministers were also supported to Vibhishana but Vibhishana understood now my brother Ravana has lost his sense and due to false ego he is behaving like a foolish person as it is mentioned in Bhagwad Gita 3.37 a lusty person lose his sense and act foolishly. Vibhishana immediately left the assembly and went to the shelter of  Lo
