Don't allow others to affect you

Often we see people seeking approval from others to be happy. If they grant our happiness then we become happy otherwise we feel sad.

To grow personally and also in our relationships with others, we can not allow people to affect us negatively.

Because we see most of the people surrounded by us are demotivating people few of them are rare to motivate us in our difficult times.

So we have to take our own responsibility emotionally and for that we must be internally very strong and there comes spiritual practice, the person who are internally strong much by his regular sadhana can never get affected by surroundings and negative people.

And that is why Lord Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita one should focus on and if he is fully determined he will not get bewildered by many things.

So our main problem is we are not fully focused on our goal that is why these surrounding and negative people affect us but if we are determined and focused on our goal then we are never concerned about these things.

व्यवसायात्मिका बुद्धिरेकेह कुरूनन्दन ।

बहुशाखा ह्यनन्ताश्च बुद्धयोऽव्यवसायिनाम् ॥ 2.41 ॥

Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.

A river may get affected by outside water but an ocean does not due to its deepness. So if one is deeply connected with Lord Krishna he feel sheltered and none of the outside things can shake him.

Hare Krishna!
