Happy Balrama Jayanti

Tomorrow i.e 12th Aug we are celebrating Sri Balrama Jaynti the appearance day of Lord Balrama.

Lord Balrama is none different than Lord Krishna as it is mentioned in many scriptures i.e. Srimad Bhagvatam, Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita and many more but the only difference is of color as Lord Balrama looks golden complexion but Lord Krishna is in blackish complexion.

There is also one difference in Lord Balrama and Lord Krishna, Lord Balrama is a serving Lord and Lord Krishna is master Lord.

Lord Balrama always ready to serve Lord Krishna even though He is younger or elder does not matter. In Tretayug we see Lord Balrama as Laxmana and he server Lord Rana for throughout his life and in Dwapar yuga when he become elder brother of Lord Krishna then too He was serving to Krishna to protect from all the dangers.

Lord Balrama is known as many names i.e. Anantshesha, Baldau, Laxman, Rohini Nandana, Haldhar, Sankarshan etc. He is also known as Adi-Guru who teaches us how to serve Lord Krishna by His own example.

Balrama means the source of all power. He is the son of  Rohini Mata and husband of Revati Devi.

Although Lord Balrama is known to be very angry young man but when He comes along with Sri Chatyna Mahaprabhu in the form of Sri Nityand Prabhu in age of Kali to give Their mercy upon fallen soul like us.

He is known to be very much compassionate person, and if we take shelter of Lord Nityanand definitely he shower His mercy upon us and give us Krishna prema.

Let's pray to Lord Nityanand to give us mercy so we can serve Guru and Krishna in a better way.
