From childhood to young age, from young age to mid age, from mid age to old age all the time we care about our life. But have we ever thought of what about after when we become too old and even we can not move from our own, can't eat from our own, can not speak much then who will be caring us and how?
And even if in that situation we leave your body, what will be the next and which form of body you will get, are you sure to get human form of body?
This is why you should be very careful from our childhood to maintain your consciousness to remember Krishna as Lord Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita 8.5
अन्तकाले च मामेव स्मरन्मुक्त्वा कलेवरम् |
य: प्रयाति स मद्à¤ावं याति नास्त्यत्र संशय: || 8.5||
And whoever, at the end of his life, quits his body remembering Me alone at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt.
But it is not so easy to remember Krishna at the time of death, when we are not aware of how much pain we are going to suffer, and in what condition we will be, in what mood people will come to us?
For that Srila Prabhupada used to encourage people to chant holy names of Lord and meditate on His forms, Pastimes etc. so at last we can keep Krishna in our mind while leaving the body.
Our beloved H.H.Giriraj Mahraj great disciple of Srila Prabhupada came to the idea of Bhaktivedanta Hospice situated in Vrindavan where people can go and depart peaceful from there in mode of Krishna Consciousness.
His ultimate goal is to people can maintain their consciousness while leaving their body, and make sure they go home go back to Godhead.
Finally our life is preparation and death is our final examination.
Hare Krishna!
