Never get too much excited in happiness that you forgot your actual goal

It is mentioned in Srimad Bhagwad Gita (2.14), one should tolerate happiness and distress both as sometimes tolerating distress is very much easy compare to happiness.

There was a king he was very much devoted to Lord Vishnu and before doing his prescribed duty he always pray to Lord Vishnu and always remember Vishnu while performing his daily activities.

Day was passing one day he became father of a son and he was very happy. When he retire from his daily activities and his son comes in his lap he forgot his whole tiredness.

His attachment towards his son was increasing on daily basis and slowly-slowly he started going away from Lord Vishnu and he was feeling so much happy.

One day when his son was playing near by his courtyard a poisonous snake bit his son and he immediately died. After hearing this king started lamenting on his son's death and after 2-3 days he fall sick due to hunger and thirst.

One day he prayed to Lord Vishnu, My dear Lord I know it is my mistake in excitement of happiness I forgot to remember you and now I am realizing how fool I am.

I learned a lesson, one should never get so excited during happiness that you lose focus of the goal of your life. And the goal of a human life is to please Lord Vishnu or His incarnations and if one failed to do so his all achievements i.e. wealth, health, beauty, name and fame goes into vain.

And a wise person never take this risk to compromise his actual goal for little happiness.

Sometimes, we also keep our daily sadhana aside and participate in joy and happiness with others but one should remember this joy and happiness are temporary and our sadhana towards Lord is eternal. And if one is compromising his eternal thing with temporary is considered to be a great fool.

Hare Krishna!

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
