What is the Best way to please Lord Shiva?

People take Lord Shiva as an ordinary demigod and think whatever we do Lord Shiva will be pleased by my activities but it is not, Lord Shiva is a very superior personality in all demigods and He can be only pleased when we do what he likes.

And the best way to please Lord Shiva is to chant the holy names of Lord Krishna (to please Krishna). That is why we see Lord Shiva always busy in their mediation and mediate all the time on Lord Krishna (in the form of Lord Rama).

But in this world normally we see people offer them intoxicated things and take it granted and use it for their own sense gratification but actually in our scripture no where it is mentioned Lord Shiva use intoxicated things although He drunk poison while churning of sea ocean and no one can drink a small portion of it.

Lord Shiva can give anything what we want but he has very valuable asset which He rarely disclose with everyone and that is pure devotion because He is pure devotee of Lord Krishna as it is mentioned in Srimad Bhagwatam (12.13.16) ;

निम्नगानां यथा गङ्गा देवानामच्युतो यथा ।

वैष्णवानां यथा शम्भु: पुराणानामिदं तथा ॥ १६ ॥

Just as the Ganga is the greatest of all rivers, Lord Acyuta the supreme among deities and Lord Sambhu [Lord Shiva] the greatest of Vaishnavas, so Srimad-Bhagavatam is the greatest of all Puranas.

So it is our duty to understand what Lord Shiva can give to us and how we can please Him?

If we want to please Lord Shiva then we have to please Lord Krishna and if we want to please Krishna we must respect Lord Shiva as we see in Sri Ram Charit Manas it is mentioned;

शिव द्रोही मम दास कहावा ! सो नर मोहि सपनेहुँ नहिं भावा !!

The person who disrespect Shiva is not very dear to my (and can not be my pure devotee).

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare.

Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare.

Happy Maha Shivratri.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
