In Srimad Bhagwatam canto 4 chapter 8 verse 18 it is mentioned, one should never associate with the people who does not like you any more else he just not only damage his consciousnesses but we also become victim of it. For a safe purpose we should avoid such kind of association.
One should not go to anyone’s house, even on the consideration of his being a relative or a friend, when the man is disturbed in his mind and looks upon the guest with raised eyebrows and angry eyes.
When Mother Sati asked to visit his father home Lord Shiva stopped not to go as he does not like us and it is better let him be happy alone rather than creating disturbance in his life, but Mother Sati told to Lord Shiva, he is my own father surely he will be happy to see me.
And we see rest of the story how seeing Mother Sati his father Daksha Prajapati become envious and turned his face from Mother Sati. Seeing this Mother Sati felt big insult of her own and his husband Lord Shiva.
There are three types of welcome where we can understand what is going inside the person's mind:
1. Warm Welcome : Smiling face, open eyes, and open arms when you get warm welcomes, you must see the person is more happier than you. One who has cultivated divine qualities knows the values of the persons in his life. They are very friendly nature. They avoid the contact of bad association. we must associate with these types of people.
2. Cold Welcome: When people see someone he raise his eye brows and twist his eyes and he has no happy face then we must know this person is not happy at all seeing to me. We should avoid to go these places where we get these types of welcome.
3. Neutral Welcome: In this type of welcome neither eye brows raised nor smiled faces seen but they have neutral reaction. They do not bother whether you visit them or not, they just do the needful for you what is needed on that occasion.
So in above three types of welcome we must go for Warm Welcome and must avoid Cold Welcome.
