Kartika - The Holiest Month to please Krishna very easily

Kartika, also known as the month of Damodara, is a month to please Krishna in a very simple way. It is considered by devotees of Krishna to be the holiest month of the year.

This year it is starting from 20th Oct 2021 to 19th Nov 2021.

In this month, devotees perform extra spiritual activities, and generally worship Krishna in His form as Damodara, who was once bound at the waist by His mother, Yashoda, as a punishment for His mischievous childhood pastimes.

It is mentioned in many Vedic Scriptures like Shri Hari Bhakti Vilasa, if a person offers ghee lamp to Lord Damodara in the month of Kartika will go to abode of Goloka, where there is not return in this material world.

If one hear pastimes of Lord Damodara & Nalkuvera and Madigriva where Nalkuvera and Madigriva was in the form of trees due to curse of great sage Narada and Lord Damodara bring back them in their original form.

If someone wants to get love of Krishna then this is the best month to please Lord Krishna. There are few things if we do in month of Kartika surely will get benefit of it:

1. One should wake up early and offer ghee lamps to Lord Damodara and chant Damodara Ashtkam (it is there in image form)

2. One should visit near by temple and donate for Brahmanas and sponsor ghee lamps

3. One should visit and stay in holy places like Vrindavan Dhama

4. One should hear pastimes of Lord Damodara

5. One should feed cows, brahmans and donate in the temples

In the glories of Damodara month it is said, no sin exists anywhere in the three worlds that will not be purified by offering a lamp to Lord Kesava during Kartika.

Method of offering Lamps to Damodara:

  1. 4 rounds on lotus feet of Lord Damodara

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control. Started abusing someone on phone and shouting out very louder, people was looking at him.  He was fully drunken and started vomiting, people thrown out him out of train and he slayed down at platform. Story is not over yet, I was thinking is this our modern education we are providing to our children and in the name of facilities we are giving them huge money, branded gadgets, but being an guarding do we ever try to esquire what they do and, which type of association they keep?  Once these things comes in their hands they start thinking, no one is greater than me and due to false ego they disrespect elder people.  But one thing they forget, disrespecting elder people only harmful to them because elderly people only teach them morality and good lesson. And being an elder person...

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo...
