Ganapati Bappa - An ideal devotee of Shri Krishna

First of all I would like to wish everyone Happy Ganesha Chaturthi, people all around the world worship Lord Ganesha and He is known as obstacle removal (Vighnaharta).

We all know Lord Ganesha is the most prominent worship able Demigod and He worshiped in each of the important occasion whether it is home ceremony, marriage ceremony, birth ceremony etc.

But few of us know the truth behind it, why it is so out of 33 crores demigods only Lord Ganesha is the one who is most most prominent worship able.

So there is a small story comes in Purans, there was a race in all Demigods to circulate whole universe 3 times and who win the race will declared as most prominent worship able Demigod.

All demigods with their carrier participated and started the race but Lord Ganesha has a very tiny and slow carrier known as mouse and he started his race.

When Lord Ganesha was circulating he met with great sage Narada Muni but other Demigods avoided and continue their race but Lord Ganesha stop and put their obeisance towards Narda Muni.

Narada Muni asked to Ganesha, why did you stop even your carrier is too slow, how will you win the race? In reply Lord Ganesha said, My dear respected sage, winning the race is not much important for me but avoiding you will be great offense for me.

Narada Muni was very much pleased by Ganesha and gave secret of winning the race and told, you just circulate the person who always chant the holy name of Lord Rama and that is your father, He always chant the holy name of Lord Rama.

Lord Ganesha just circulated three times of His father Lord Shiva and he was declared as a winner and awarded the post of most prominent worship able Demigod.

That is why it is said, the person who take association of a pure devotee will  achieve his mission very easily.

साधु संग साधु संग सब शास्त्र कहे । लब मात्र साधु संग सब सिद्धि होय ।।

Here we can see how Lord Ganesha very easily;

1. He won the race without even putting too much efforts

2. Ganesha became prominent most worshipade Demigod

3. If we chant the holy name of Lord Rama/Krishna no one can beat us

4. He empowered by Lord Krishna to help composing 1,00,000 verse of Mahabharta (Bhagwad Gita is a part of it as Bhisma parva) narrated by Srila Vyasdeva.

Wish you all a very happy Ganesha Chaturthi.
