A Dwarf who measured whole universe in just 3 steps

There is a saying, if God wants to give you by his 10 hands how much can you accept only by your two hands and if He want to snatch from you how can you protect.

Bali Maharaja the demon king conquered all the three planets of the universe by rightful possession.

Material possessions, however alluring they may be, cannot be permanent possessions. Therefore one has to voluntarily give up such possessions, or one has to leave such possessions at the time of quitting this material body. The sane man knows that all material possessions are temporary and that the best use of such possessions is to engage them in the service of the Lord so that the Lord may be pleased with him and award him a permanent place in His paraṁ dhama.

When Lord saw King Bali is now puffed up with power and position and now he is going against the law of Vedas, He took His incarnation in the form of dwarf from Aditi & Kashyapa muni as 5th incarnation.

He went to king in the form of Brahmna while King Bali was performing yagna & asked for three steps of land.

King Bali thought He is very minimum guy, I can give anything he wants from me but Lord Vamana asked Bali to give only 3 steps of Land as if a person is not satisfied whatever he get he can never be satisfied after getting so much also.

But King Bali's guru Shukrachrya stoped king Bali and warned He is not a ordinary person but Lord Vishnu himself He want to cheat you.

But King Bali goes against his Gutu and asked to take 3 steps of land from Vaman Deva. Lord Vaman covered heaven and earth only in 2 steps and asked Bali where should he keep his third step, King Bali replied," my dear Lord now I am free to surrender you so you can keep your third step on my head.

And this way King Bali gave everything including himself but he is not the loser but the name Balidaan (Sacrifice) words become popular from him only.

So, by giving everything to the cause of the Lord, one does not lose anything, but he gains everything that he could never otherwise expect.

Happy Vamana Dwadashi!

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
