The Power of criticism

Most of the time we see when two people meet with each other, they talk very less about themselves but they talk more about third person and start criticizing that person.

Knowingly or unknowingly we do not only do sins which is very dangerous and can make our life miserable but lose our accumulated pious karma also.

In Srimad Bhagwatam 10.74.40 it is mentioned that one person should immediately leave the place where criticism is going on;

निन्दां भगवत: श‍ृण्वंस्तत्परस्य जनस्य वा ।

ततो नापैति य: सोऽपि यात्यध: सुकृताच्च्युत: ॥ 10.74.40 ॥

Anyone who fails to immediately leave the place where he hears criticism of the Supreme Lord or His faithful devotee will certainly fall down, bereft of his pious credit.

There was a pious king who invited Brahmanas for food and king told his own Brahmanas to cook delicious food for them. When Brahmanas were cooking foods for their guest Brahmanas,.

There was an eagle flying on sky with snake holding on his beak, when snake try to bite eagle and poison spread and mixed in cooked food.

When Brahmanas took foods, after some time they all died. When this matter reached to Yamloka, they were all in tension whom to punish for this act? Because King is a very pious and there is no fault, Brahmana who were cooking food were also in no fault, eagle was taking it's food so it was no fault and snake was trying to protect so there is no fault from his side also.

After that, Yamduta was looking for whom to punish and they saw few people were criticizing King as he kill people by giving poison in food and they immediately decided the culprit.

Moral of the story is when we criticize other's we do very big sin against that person. And that is the reason we can not progress in our life due to that sins which we have accumulated through criticism.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
