Tomorrow is the most auspicious day known to be Akshay Tritiya. Akshay means which can not be decayed or which is eternal. On this auspicious day there are many incident took place in our history. Few of them we are going to share.

1, Appearance day of Parashuram: It is the day when Parashuram appeared on the earth. Parashuram is known to be the 6th Incarnation of Lord Vishnu and known for his anger towards Kshatriya who was misleading the community.

2. Apperance of Mother Ganga on earth from Heavenly planet: On this auspicious day mother Ganga descended herself from Heaven to Earth on the request of King Bhagirathi after 1000 years of his penance. He was one of the forefathers of Lord Rama and son of King Dilipa. It is mentioned in Ramayana King Bhagirathi brough mother Ganga on earth to purify his forefathers soul as King Sagar lost his 60,000 sons due to the anger of sage Kapila.

3. Gift of Akshaya Patra to Pandavas: When Sun God pleased by Pandavas and queen Draupadi, he gifted a magical vessel to Draupdi known as Akshaya Patra. The magic of this vessel was, whatever Draupdi cook in it, she can serve it to many by cooking only once.  There was only one condition, if Draupdi took food from it, it will be the last. This magical vessel also saved Pandavas from the anger of sage Durvasha while in exile.

4. Building of Lord Jagannath Chariot: It is said that it is the day when Lord Jagannath Chariot get build. Many may not be aware of Lord Jagannath, so Lord Jagannath is none other than Lord Krishna Himself, Lord Baldeva is Balrama and mother Subhadra is sister of both.

5. Sandalwood Paste Festival: Many of us can not even think Lord in the form of statue (stone, wood or metal) can feel heat. But Srila Prabhupada used to tell to his disciples, these altar are not an ordinary but God himself. There is a small story about Sandal Paste. When Madhevndra Puri was asked from Gopal (in the form of deity), He is feeling hot and bring sandal paste for him from Jagannath Puri.

There are so many auspicious thing happens on this day. Most of the people believe purchasing Gold is very auspicious on this day that is also true but more important is if we chant Lord's holy name that will be even more auspicious for all of us.
