Today we are celebrating appearance day of Lord Narsimha Deva. Lord Narsimha Deva is known to be an obstacle removals.
As we know in this world there is always danger, and we all are currently going through very tough situation. Whole world is trying to protect themselves but no one is able to.
We all know the story of Prahlada Maharaja. Prahlada Maharaja is the son of Hirynyakashpu the powerful demon. But due to good association of great sage Narada Ji Prahalada Mahraja became very good devotee of Lord Vishnu and always busy to chant holy name.
After hearing about his son Hirynyakashpu became very angry and ordered to kill his own son Prahlada Maharaja.
There were so many ways Hirynyakashpu tried to kill Prahlada Maharaja but to full faith on holy name of Lord Prahlada Maharaja was protected by Lord Vishnu.
Prahlada Maharaja was only 5 years old and after seeing the power of his devotion Hirynyakashpu became mad and challenged, who is protecting you as you know I am powerful in all three universe?
Prahlada Maharaja simply replied to Hirynyakashpu, my dear father there is more powerful person beyond you and that is Lord Vishnu and I am in Their shelter, you too take shelter of Lord Vishnu and give up this false ego.
Hearing this, Hirynyakashpu got up from his sit and asked Prahlada Maharaja, where is your Vishnu?
He is everywhere, Prahlada Maharaja replied.
Hirynyakashpu again asked, Is He in this pillar?
Yes, Prahlada Maharaja replied.
Angry Hirynyakashpu hit on pillar, and suddenly a loud roar Half Man - Half Lion appeared in gigantic form.
One may ask, why this type of God?
Because, to protect His devotee God can accept any form. And there was boon given by Lord Brahma to Hirynyakashpu, he can not be killed by man, animal, in day, in night, on earth, in heaven, from weapon.
To keep Lord Brahma's condition Lord Narsimha appeared in the form of Half Man - Half Lion and very easily killed Hirynyakashpu by just His nail.
So, we can understand the power of Lord Narsimha and if we pray to Lord Narsimha . He will always protect us.
Lord Narsimha is very soft to devotee like Prahlada Maharaja and very furious to demon like Hirynyakashpu.
I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, the source of all power. O my Lord who possesses nails and teeth just like thunderbolts, kindly vanquish our demonlike desires for fruitive activity in this material world. Please appear in our hearts and drive away our ignorance so that by Your mercy we may become fearless in the struggle for existence in this material world.
May Lord Narsimha protect us from all the dangers like how He saved to Prahlada Maharaja.
