Glorification of Lord Shiva

Today we are celebrating Maha Shivratri the auspicious occasion of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati marriage day. 

There are many misconception about Lord Shiva in people. Many people thinks Lord Shiva is involved in intoxication and we as a follower of Lord Shiva also have as prasadam of Lord Shiva.

But in the Vedas it is no where mentioned Lord Shiva involved in intoxication instead He always busy in chanting the Holy names of Lord Krishna.

No one as pure as Lord Shiva when it comes as an Vaishnvas of Lord Krishna.

There are three major qualities in Lord Shiva as:

1. Compassionate: He is very compassionate towards all living entities i. e. He drunk poison from churning ocean. 

2. Always busy in chanting holy name: We see Lord Shiva always keep Himself busy in chanting holy name of Lord Krishna instead of doing anything else. It shows that He has no other important task than chanting holy name.

3. Help in Devotional service: As Lord Shiva's another name is Ashutosh which means He pleased very easily and that's why He help those who go to Him for pure devotional service.

Once Mother Parvati asked Lord Shiva, what is the ultimate truth?

Lord Shiva reply to Mother Parvati,  there is no other truth except chanting the Holy names of Lord Krishna.

One should understand the real qualities of Lord Shiva and follow Him, rather than in the name of Lord Shiva do anything.
