Wish you all a very happy & prosperous Makar Sankranti!!!

Makar Sankranti is a festival very much popular in northern India as well as different places with different-diffrent names.

It is mentioned in our Vedic Scriptures, who give charity on this day take more benefits than other day.

Most of the times, people ask which types of charity and to whom we should donate? As per Bhagwad Gita charity should be given without any expectation and to the proper person (Supatra).

We can do charity in below forms:

1. Feeding the Cows

2. Serving People who stay at holy places

3. Ganga Seva

4. Donating Scriptures

5. Anna dhana

Charity given out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person, is in the mode of goodness. (Bhagavad Gita 17:20)

The place where any charity is given, the time when it is given and the type of recipient of the charity are very important factors. The auspicious occasion of Makara Sankranti, the holy place of Ganga Sagar, and its pious pilgrims present before us an ideal combination, which is a rare opportunity for us to take advantage of and earn immense punya by giving in charity.

It is said that on this day, the Sun God will make northward movement, uttarayana, and bring more light and good fortune. It is indeed a pious and up lighting time to engage our mind properly, in the right consciousness while offering our service or whatever seva we have pledged our minds.

Please feed Brahmins, cows, poor people and chant holy names of Lord loudly have bath in holy rives (Ganges, Yamuna etc).

May this Sankarti brings a lot of happiness, joy and prosperity in your life.

Hare KRISHNA!!!

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control. Started abusing someone on phone and shouting out very louder, people was looking at him.  He was fully drunken and started vomiting, people thrown out him out of train and he slayed down at platform. Story is not over yet, I was thinking is this our modern education we are providing to our children and in the name of facilities we are giving them huge money, branded gadgets, but being an guarding do we ever try to esquire what they do and, which type of association they keep?  Once these things comes in their hands they start thinking, no one is greater than me and due to false ego they disrespect elder people.  But one thing they forget, disrespecting elder people only harmful to them because elderly people only teach them morality and good lesson. And being an elder person...

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo...
