Happiness is inversely proportional to our requirements

Today's culture is to accumulate things more and more to become happy, people think how much we fulfill our requirements that much we will be happy.

The whole world is producing a new-new things everyday on the demand of people. We see our consumption are never ending, that is why there is a big problem in supply and demand equation.

People need more and supply is less in proportion to their demands.

But in ancient time it was not there people were having very less requirements to live their life, even they were full of resources. Philosophically they were very much aware that our requirements can never be fulfilled instead how much we increase our requirements that much our life will be miserable.

For example two people are travelling one is having a simple light weight bag and other one is with full heavy 5-6 bags. Who can enjoy the journey? Very simple the person who has light bag, because that person has no burden on his head how can I carry it with, I have not much valuable in it so there is no need to worry of thief.

But the second person will have no peace while travelling because all the time he only think of his baggage and it's valuable things belonging inside it.

So our life is like a journey, how less we keep our requirements that much we can enjoy the journey of life.

When we think of increasing our requirements the same time our happiness start decreasing.

Hare Krishna!!!

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.

A visit to GEV

Srila Prabhupada was very much concerned about modern life style and he always used to tell his disciples, only building temples are not enough to live a pure Krishna Conscious way of life along with it we must follow our Vedic Culture and in our Vedic Culture we were fully dependent on Cows and Lands but in modern age we have rejected both and result we are not getting healthy foods and milk products. So we have to build Farm Communities where we can live a healthy life and in minimum amount of time we can produce grains, vegetables, fruits and milk products etc. and rest of the time they can do their devotional service. Milk and Grains can not be produced in factories and for this we require Cows and Lands. Govardhan Ecovillage is a project of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The project is owned and managed by ISKCON Wada, Maharashtra. It is the result of an ardent desire of H.H.Radhanath Swami Maharaj to fulfill the dream of his beloved guru, His Divine
