Devotional service is not waste of time!

One person asked me, "why you people get up early and do prayers for so long time and chant your rounds, it is not so much time consuming process, instead why not you people do some productive work?"

These type of thought process may come to anyone who think, doing spiritual work is just a waste of time nothing else.

But in Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna has already declared about, if someone does little of devotions towards Krishna it can protect us from biggest danger;

नेहाभिक्रमनाशोऽस्ति प्रत्यवायो न विद्यते ।

स्वल्पमप्यस्य धर्मस्य त्रायते महतो भयात् ॥ 2.40 ॥

In this endeavor there is no loss or diminution, and a little advancement on this path can protect one from the most dangerous type of fear.

Many people goes to watch movies, shopping, picnics and waste so much time for doing nothing. But they don't give excuses for that task why they waste their time as, if simply we calculate a normal human being waste his more than 50 percent of time in doing nothing.

But devotional service is not waste of time rather than it gives us strength, peace and motivation towards right direction.

Most of the people are all time frustrate and seems in very much tension is just because of they don't have devotion in their life.

Srila Prabhupada used to say, if a person become Krishna Conscious then all other qualities automatically developed.

The process of devotional service is very scientific;

Waking up early (develop a good habit)

Doing chanting (meditation and mind control)

Eating prasadam (Satvik food)

Association of devotees (good association)

Reading scriptures (makes intelligence strong) and many more benefits.

So, if you become a devotee means you don't have to do anything extra.

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control. Started abusing someone on phone and shouting out very louder, people was looking at him.  He was fully drunken and started vomiting, people thrown out him out of train and he slayed down at platform. Story is not over yet, I was thinking is this our modern education we are providing to our children and in the name of facilities we are giving them huge money, branded gadgets, but being an guarding do we ever try to esquire what they do and, which type of association they keep?  Once these things comes in their hands they start thinking, no one is greater than me and due to false ego they disrespect elder people.  But one thing they forget, disrespecting elder people only harmful to them because elderly people only teach them morality and good lesson. And being an elder person...

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo...
