Control your emotions while taking the decision

Sometimes it is seen,  people take decision in emotion and later they realize they make a huge mistake but that can never be rectified again. In Srimad Bhagwatam canto 1 chapter 18 there is the story of King Parikshit and Shringi Rishi, who cursed King Parikshit.

When King Parikshit reached in cottage of sage Shamika he was feeling hungry and thirsty asked for water from sage Shamika but sage was in deep meditation and unable to hear king.

King though he is not giving me proper hospitality and due to thirst he kept dead snake on sage neck.

When Rishi Shringi son of Shamika heard this, he was playing with his friends and thought I must punish that king and emotionally to impress his friends he cursed king to dead within 7 days by snake bite.

But when he reached to his father he started crying for his own mistake, what I did was just to impress my friends and emotionally I made a big mistake, but now I can not rectify it.

Even his own father pointed for his mistake, how could you do this, as a King if he did so, that was not the cost of punishment you gave him because they protect us.

The same thing happen with all of us, without knowing the real cause of the problem emotionally we take decision and later we have not control over it.

People and situation makes us excited but that is the time we have to test our capability, how much do we have control over our emotions. Don't let others know what is going inside you, later think of it what can be the best for me not immediately. Because immediately due to emotion we can never take the right decision.

God has given us the intelligence and ability to think and if we think we are not capable to take decision better we go and ask that person whom we think can guide us with the help of Guru, Sadhu and Shashtra.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.
