Bhishma Panchak-Devotion towards Krishna from Bhismadeva.

It is mentioned in all Vedic scriptures Kartik is the holiest month in all and who offer ghee lamp to Lord Damodar receive pure devotions from Lord KRISHNA.

The last 5 days of the month of Kartik are traditionally known as the Bhishma Panchaka.

It is considered Grandfather of Kurus Bhismadeva fasted for these five days, preparing to give up his life.

It is also mentioned Bhishmadeva observed the fast which is very difficult to a normal human beings.

He only are cow products in all five days. First day he ate only cow dung then cow urine,  Panchamitra and finally cow made products.

Although Bhishmadeva was booned by his own desired death but he promised he will leave his body when Lord Krishna will be infront of him.

Bhishmadeva was a very pious and great devotee of Lord, only a great devotee of Lord can suffer that much pain as he suffered so much pain on arrow bed from Arjuna.

But he didn't say to Krishna, why I am suffering?

He already knew it, it is Krishna's plan and whatever He does it will always good for me.

Bhishmadeva was a very scholar and a great king, he taught Pandvas duty of a King.

Let remember Bhishmadeva and offer prayers towards him to give devotion to us and always our heart beat remembering Krishna.

Hare Krishna.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.

A visit to GEV

Srila Prabhupada was very much concerned about modern life style and he always used to tell his disciples, only building temples are not enough to live a pure Krishna Conscious way of life along with it we must follow our Vedic Culture and in our Vedic Culture we were fully dependent on Cows and Lands but in modern age we have rejected both and result we are not getting healthy foods and milk products. So we have to build Farm Communities where we can live a healthy life and in minimum amount of time we can produce grains, vegetables, fruits and milk products etc. and rest of the time they can do their devotional service. Milk and Grains can not be produced in factories and for this we require Cows and Lands. Govardhan Ecovillage is a project of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The project is owned and managed by ISKCON Wada, Maharashtra. It is the result of an ardent desire of H.H.Radhanath Swami Maharaj to fulfill the dream of his beloved guru, His Divine
