The true religion

There was a small boy his parent lost in one crowd place. Sitting at one corner he was completely bewildered and crying loudly, people gathered over there and asked the boy, what is the issue, why are you crying?

After sometimes boy started telling the entire story how he lost his parent and now he does not know anything how can he go back to his home.

Many people come forward and shows sympathy towards that boy and give some sweets, toys, fruits etc. Boy stopped crying and started playing with toys, after seeing this everyone left from there.

Few moments later again he started crying and people started asking, now what?

Throwing everything aside he started telling I want my parents and I don't want anything else.

There was an intelligent person who come forward and took boy with him and started asking about how much he can recall about his school, home etc and finally he reached the place where that boy resides.

So, moral of the story is whatever definition for religion we may calculate but true religion is something different. As per this story people tried to help that boy with sweets and toys but it was not the permanent solution for that boy but the person who tried to help boy reach at his home was true helper.

Today everyone give different-different definition for religion from their own perspective but as per Srimad Bhagwatam Canto 1.2.6., true religion is:

स वै पुंसां परो धर्मो यतो भक्तिरधोक्षजे ।

अहैतुक्यप्रतिहता ययात्मा सुप्रसीदति ॥ 1.2.6 ॥

The supreme occupation [dharma] for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord. Such devotional service must be unmotivated and uninterrupted to completely satisfy the self.

True religion is to serve Krishna and help others to know how can they server Krishna to get rid from this material problems rest everything is just known as cheating religion.
