Learning lesson from a Bird

What can we expect from a bird? She builds a nest for her children, bring foods and care for them and at the right time she teaches how to fly and her job is finished. That is the Dharma for her.

Now a day’s parents are doing the same things with their child also. They beget child, care for them and educate them and finally teach them how to fly i.e. how to earn money and they think their job is finished. But do we think this is only our Dharma towards our children?

This much even a bird also does for its children whom we consider an insignificant in compare to human being. Then what is the difference between us and a small bird? A human form of life is for higher principle and goal not just for eating, sleeping, mating and defending.

And this is the duty of every parent not to teach their children only to just earn money but morality also. Without morality and spirituality human form of life is nothing but a animal form of life.

In Srimad Bhagwatam Canto 5.5.18 it is said if you cannot teach spirituality to your children then you are not supposed to become a father.

One who cannot deliver his dependents from the path of repeated birth and death should never become a spiritual master, a father, a husband, a mother or a worship able demigod.

So, if a bird can follow the religious principles by proper caring of her children then why we are not following our Dharma towards our children? A child is worth who care for his parent and earn only its bread and butter is better than a child who earn too much but do not respect his parent and care for them.

Be a responsible parent and teach morality to your children because it is the subject which your child can not show in his report card but it will be more valuable in for his life report card.

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control. Started abusing someone on phone and shouting out very louder, people was looking at him.  He was fully drunken and started vomiting, people thrown out him out of train and he slayed down at platform. Story is not over yet, I was thinking is this our modern education we are providing to our children and in the name of facilities we are giving them huge money, branded gadgets, but being an guarding do we ever try to esquire what they do and, which type of association they keep?  Once these things comes in their hands they start thinking, no one is greater than me and due to false ego they disrespect elder people.  But one thing they forget, disrespecting elder people only harmful to them because elderly people only teach them morality and good lesson. And being an elder person...
