Today majority of the parents are worried about their Child and their behavior towards them but we must know the root cause of it. We can not directly blame to children because what they are now is result of our own actions and behavior. In childhood its tendency of every child to copy what their parent does and result they start creating pattern in their minds. So teachings are not much important but our behavior and activities are, as Lord Krishna has stated in B.G.3.21.
यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जनः ।
स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते ॥ 3.21॥
Whatever action a great man performs, common men follow. And whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues.
So, here we can see your action is more important that teachings. Now if you follow below points and try to apply in your life then definitely our child will be what we want it to be.
Encourage Innovative Thinking: Always try to encourage your child for his innovative ideas, Whatever he thinks lets give liberty to him and appreciate for it.
Read Books with Your Child: More than 90 percent of the parent never spend time with their child and the quality time is to sit with your child with Book and try to make habit of it for them on regular basis.
Encourage Mutual Questioning: Give some space,go with them ask and inquire about their mutual questions. This way they will think, someone is there to help me else they will look help from outside the world and go in bad association.
Play with your child: Be a child sometimes with your child because they also need your love and affection and closeness from it. If you want to be more closer make some fun time.
Teach them Budgeting: Children are not very much concern about money, they only think of their own enjoyment and for that they can spent whatever they wish. So,lets teach them the value of budgeting, how important it is for their future but sometimes we see Parent do mistakes and give them costly gifts this should not be there else they will not learn budgeting in their life.
Teach Finance to your child: The most important thing is to teach your children about finance, because they are only concern about their luxury, enjoyment but not aware of Finance. So,lets them how important is early saving and this way that money can help you in future.
