Sri Narsimha Chaturtdashi - Appearance day of Lord Narsimha

Lord Narsimha is known for obstacles removal in the path of devotion. Today we are celebrating Sri Narsimha Chaturtdashi, He appeared in the world to protect His devotee Prahlad Mahraj from his father Hirnyakashyapu.

Hirnyakashyapu was materially very much strong and puffed up by his power and position and trying to conquer the three world and thinking himself as an God.

But Hirnyakashyapu forgot all power and strength is given by Krishna himself like in today's world also most of the people think they are God and they can control everything but they forgot the Supreme controller is Krishna.

But Prahlad Mahraj son of Hirnyakashyapu was exactly opposite of his father and He was completely devoted to Krishna and trying to convince His father also to give up this egoistic mentality and surrender to Krishna because He is the only shelter and well wishers of all living entities.

Hirnyakashyapu got angry on hearing this suggestion from Prahlad Mahraj and he told Prahlad Mahraj, you are not my son but enemy.

Often if someone give good advice to demonic people they consider them enemy.

And Hirnyakashyapu started torturing Prahlad Mahraj by many ways but all his tricks got failed because of spiritual power of Prahlad Mahraj.

Although Prahlad Mahraj was only 5 years old but because He was spiritually very much strong seeing this Hirnyakashyapu got upset and ordered to kill Prahlad Mahraj.

And finally Lord Narsimha Dev appeared in front of Hirnyakashyapu from pillar to prove Prahlad Mahraj as Hirnyakashyapu asked is your Lord exist in piller? and in reply Prahlad Mahraj says yes.

Lord Narsimha Dev kill Hirnyakashyapu like a small bee.

So, we can see how Hirnyakashyapu got his power by thousands of years of austerities but Lord Narsimha Dev finished it in few seconds.

Sri Narsimha Dev ki Jai, Prahlad Mahraj ki Jai.
