Bhagwad Gita in Modern Age

This world is like Kurukshetra and we are like Arjuna our daily problems are like Duryodhana's army awaiting to attack, but if we are in the shelter of Krishna, surely Krishna will save us from all dangers.

People may ask what is the use of studying the Bhagavad Gita in the present age as there are so many technologies are available to solve our problems. How relevant is it to modern life? And what value does it add to one’s life?

So, In reply Prabhupada Ji used to give answers, "You think you are so much developed and capable to solve your all the problems, so please tell me where is the solution for Birth, Death, Old age and Diseases? That is our major problems." and everyone used to sit keep quit.

Everyone is trying their level best to solve life problems, but instead of solving problems problems become more complicated, reason we are not trying to find out root cause our problems and we are trying alternate solution for it.

If we buy any gadget then there is manual come along with it to guide the user how to operate it? The same way Bhagwad Gita is manual of our life, how we should live our life? And if the person read and live life accordingly he will always be happy.

Arjuna was very intelligent but at one point of time he got bewildered and started thinking what to do and what not to do? then Lord Krishna comes into the picture and told Bhagwad Gita and finally Arjuna was clear about his all the doubts and began ready to fight.

We are also like Arjuna at some point of time we get confused and don't know what to do? At that time Bhagwad Gita helps us to give us the right direction. Bhagwad Gita is not an ordinary book if it is so then how great people are still reading although it is more than 5000 years old knowledge? Reason Bhagwad Gita still works and it's proved by many great scholars.

People read so many books on Leadership Quality, Mind Control, Personality Development etc., but they are not aware of the essence of Bhagwad Gita what is in it?

Everything is there in Bhagwad Gita what we need in our life, but the only problem is we are not trying to read it. Even our Honable Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi said in one of his speech, "there is nothing more precious Gift in the world than Bhagwad Gita from my side to give and your side to receive."

Everyone is under control of mind, but few of them are aware of it and In Bhagwad Gita, Lord Krishna says," Mind is your best friend if you control it and worst Enemy if Mind control you." And in Chapter 6.34 Arjuna also accept it:

चञ्चलं हि मन: कृष्ण प्रमाथि बलवद्दृढम् |
तस्याहं निग्रहं मन्ये वायोरिव सुदुष्करम् || 6.34||

The mind is very restless, turbulent, strong and obstinate, O Krishna. It appears to me that it is more difficult to control than the wind.

The mind is like a drunk monkey haunted by the ghost and it keeps wandering here and there and everything we get happiness and sorrow is just because of our mind.

So, if we try to control our mind everything will be under our control. So let's read Bhagwad Gita and know all your un-answered questions answered.

Please feel free to share your feedback/comments.

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control.
