There are so many confusions in this world, many people do not believe in existence of God and many chose their own God as a human being and Prabhupada used to say, if someone says, I am God, he is not God but Dog simply barking. And some people who have little faith in God, but have confusion, Does God also take birth like us?
I am sharing a small story of Akbar and Birbal. Akbar always used to taunt Birbal about God and once he asked to Birbal, "Birbal, you say your God is so powerful and he is capable to do everything sitting at one place, so why He need to appears in this world to protect His devotees."
Birbal smiled and replied, "My dear lord, I will give you the answer of it but not now."
One day Akbar with his son were crossing the river from the boat, when the boat reached in the middle of the river Birbal suddenly pushed Akbar's son from the boat and seeing this Akbar immediately jumped into the river and saved his son.
Akbar was fully angry for Birbal's misbehavior and he asked Birbal, "What the hell you did with my son?"
Birbal simply answer with his folded hands, "My dear lord, There was no other way to give you the answer of your question." and this way he reminded Akbar's question and said to Akbar, "As there were so many soldiers who were able to protect your son then why did you jump into the river?
Akbar replied, "How can I wait my soldiers to jump if my child is drowning in front of my eyes?"
Birbal smiled and said to Akbar, "My dear lord the same way God can do everything sitting at one place, but He cannot wait if His devotees are in trouble, that is the reason He himself appears in this world because devotees are very dear to Him."
In Bhagwad Gita, Krishna has already declared in Chapter 4, why He appear in this world and what is the main reason of His appearance and what is the benefit of knowing the reason behind His appearance.
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्à¤à¤µà¤¤ि à¤ारत ।
अà¤्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥ 4.7 ॥
Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion – at that time I descend Myself.
परित्राणाय साधुनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् ।
धर्मसंस्थानार्थाय सम्à¤à¤µामि युगे युगे ॥ 4.8 ॥
To deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I Myself appear, millennium after millennium.
जन्म कर्म च मे दिव्यमेवं यो वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ।
त्यक्त्वा देहं पुनर्जन्म नैति मामेति सोऽर्जुन ॥ 4.9 ॥
One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna.
So, in Bhagwad Gita everything is very clearly mentioned about appearance of God and Reason behind it.
