Enthusiasm, Perseverance, and Determination is the key to success

Srila Rupa Goswami has mentioned in Updeshamrita, one who follow the process of Bhakti Yoga with full-hearted enthusiasm, perseverance, and determination by following the prescribed duties in the association of devotees and by engaging completely in activities of goodness will be guaranteed success.

So here we are talking about Enthusiasm, Perseverance, and Determination. To do anything in our life we must be Enthusiastic if we are not, then there is one saying, God helps those who help themselves. If we help ourselves, then definitely Krishna will also help us. If we are fully determined to achieve anything and put our hundred percent effort on it, then sure we get success and for this must keep our faith strong.

There is one story I am going to share with you. There was a Sparrow, she laid her eggs on the shore of the ocean. After some time when she came, she saw that there is no eggs, the Ocean carried away the eggs on its waves. The Sparrow asked for her eggs from the ocean, but he refused to give, then Sparrow asked, "If you will not give my eggs back, I will dry up to you." Ocean laughed on the Sparrow and replied, "Do you think you can dry to me." and Ocean left by saying this.

The sparrow become very upset and she began to pick out the water in her small beak, and everyone laughed at her for her impossible determination. The news of her activity spread, and when at last Garuda, the gigantic bird carrier of Lord Visnu, heard it, he became compassionate toward his small sister bird, and so he came to see her.

Garuda was very pleased by the determination of the small sparrow, and he promised to help. Thus, Garuda at once asked the ocean to return her eggs lest he himself take up the work of the sparrow. The ocean was frightened by this and returned the eggs. Thus, the sparrow became happy by the grace of Garuda.

As far as Sparrow is concerned, she has no power to make ocean dry, but she was having full Enthusiasm, Perseverance, and Determination and that makes her successful.

So, from this story we can learn, if we are Enthusiastic, Perseverance, and fully determined, then surely Krishna will send someone in our life for our help. And if we lack of these three then we only blame Others and God for our failure.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.

A visit to GEV

Srila Prabhupada was very much concerned about modern life style and he always used to tell his disciples, only building temples are not enough to live a pure Krishna Conscious way of life along with it we must follow our Vedic Culture and in our Vedic Culture we were fully dependent on Cows and Lands but in modern age we have rejected both and result we are not getting healthy foods and milk products. So we have to build Farm Communities where we can live a healthy life and in minimum amount of time we can produce grains, vegetables, fruits and milk products etc. and rest of the time they can do their devotional service. Milk and Grains can not be produced in factories and for this we require Cows and Lands. Govardhan Ecovillage is a project of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The project is owned and managed by ISKCON Wada, Maharashtra. It is the result of an ardent desire of H.H.Radhanath Swami Maharaj to fulfill the dream of his beloved guru, His Divine
