How Youth should take our Vedic Scriptures

Young generations are going away from Vedic culture and scriptures and they feel shy if they asked to read scriptures and follow Vedic culture. If I ask students to read Bhagwad Gita they tell, why I should read it, I have many other books to read and If I get free time I will read.

They don't know the value of it and that is why modern education giving information but there is no proper knowledge. Srila Prabhupada has mentioned in his books, Modern education became a slaughterhouse and they are killing children by not giving proper education.

When Lord Macaulay came to our country and saw our education the way Gurukul system was there and it was free of cost, donated by King and taught by Great Brahmin Scholar, he got bewildered and this way Macaulay thought, they are very much strong from the base because they have been taught Indian Vedic scriptures and He thought this way he cannot destroy our Indian culture and he started modern convent school system and removed Vedic scriptures from schools and forcibly closed Gurukuls.

I am going to share you a very small and meaningful story which is related to our current education system. There was a young boy he used to beg on street on sitting of one old box. One day a person saw that boy and asked him, "My dear child do you know the cost of this box? If you sell this box, you don't need to sit and beg for whole day instead you can live your whole while. Have you ever opened that box and checked what is inside it?"

The boy replied, "No, my father used to sit and beg on this box so I do the same when he left his body but I never checked it what is there inside it because I get daily for my bread and butter."
And that boy opened the box and he got surprised, it was full of gold and silver coins.
So, this story applies to us. Where Indians were known to be scholar and intelligent now, they are leading a life where there is no hope for their future.

They read all sorts of nonsense things but never try to understand the deep meaning of our great scriptures what it teaches us. Here I am giving you a little brief about what our scriptures gives in our life and if we read our Vedic scriptures Definity we don't need any help of other books to read for our development.

1. Bhagwat Gita teaches us, how to live in this world
2. Srimad Bhagwatam teaches us, how to love Krishna
3. Ramayana teaches us, how to lead in this world
4. Chaitanya Charitamrita teaches us, how to preach

and apart from this if we read these scriptures surely, we get also the benefit mentioned below:

1. Protection from Ignorance
2. Protection from Bad Habits
3. Protection from Mistakes
4. Protection from Struggles
5. Protection from Enemies

So, my request to all young generation please understand our culture and understand Vedic scriptures. Don't waste your valuable time in something else which is not going to give anything return but just drag you in hell.

Life is a preparation, death is an examination

We participate in so many exams in our life, and get the results as per our preparation for that exams. But most of the exams we have option, whether to attempt it or not? But there is one exam in our life which we may ignore saying we will see when it would come in our life, but we all have to attempt we don't have any choice, whether we are poor,  rich,  educated or illiterate. Srila Prabhupada used to say, this life is our preparation how we are preparing our-self for coming exam.  Because that exam has no prior time table, no time period, no grace marks, and no cheat sheet allowed. And you may be surprise to know, all our activities are recorded by Yamduta for our each and every moments with evidence. Yes, Yamduta will show your answer sheet and you can review it, whether he has marked you in correct way or not? You are successful, if you are passed your exams but if you are failed then you don't know when you will have to reattempt that exam (it could be after 84 laces bir

Be Humble - Time can change everything

When we get name, fame and power we puffed by the false ego and become arrogant to the people and think no one is greater than me. But our history says, who were arrogant, time has collapsed all of them. None of us can say, I can beat the time and can go against it. We all are under control of Time as Lord Krishna has already stated in the Bhagwad Gita (I am the time and eveything is under my control). But due to our false ego we do not accept this fact become arrogant with other people instead of becoming humble with them. Who was "King of Good times" now became "King of bad times", so easily we can understand time make us King or Beggar. So we should be always being humble with the people in our Good times and take blessings from them for our bad times, but we do exactly opposite of it, we become arrogant in Good times and seek for blessings in our bad times. But what is the use of it, when you hurt someone, you lose sympathy from that person's heart.

A visit to GEV

Srila Prabhupada was very much concerned about modern life style and he always used to tell his disciples, only building temples are not enough to live a pure Krishna Conscious way of life along with it we must follow our Vedic Culture and in our Vedic Culture we were fully dependent on Cows and Lands but in modern age we have rejected both and result we are not getting healthy foods and milk products. So we have to build Farm Communities where we can live a healthy life and in minimum amount of time we can produce grains, vegetables, fruits and milk products etc. and rest of the time they can do their devotional service. Milk and Grains can not be produced in factories and for this we require Cows and Lands. Govardhan Ecovillage is a project of International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The project is owned and managed by ISKCON Wada, Maharashtra. It is the result of an ardent desire of H.H.Radhanath Swami Maharaj to fulfill the dream of his beloved guru, His Divine
