How to improve concentration and focus in study?

I was recently talking to group of parent about their child, how their child reacts at home and how they study? Most of the parent were facing major issue of their child, they were lacking of focus and concentration on their study. And later, I asked the same question from children, they replied, they want to study but they can’t focus on it.

That is not only problem of few of the parents but major of them are struggling with the same kind of problem. But how can we get rid of it this, that is the question of parent as well as student?

Here I am going to share you few tips from scriptures which I have experienced and applied on some of children and it worked, so if you follow these rules it must help you to focus and improve concentration in your study.

Why Should I study? Ask yourself the reason, why I am studying until and unless you won’t be clarified about your why? Till the time you will never understand the value of it. Most of the students are studying to just pass their exams and their parent want to study but they do not have their clear vision why should I study? Make your goal first then you increase your interest in study.

Learning with Fun: Student think learning is a big task for me and when they asked for study, they feel bored sometimes. So there is something lacking in your study, first of all if you will not take interest and forcibly learn something you will not get knowledge but just an information and there is huge difference between knowledge and information. So make your study interesting, keep some drawing, colorful marker, print some design and learn out of it.

Focus: Most of students, when they start study their mind goes here and there and they go along with the mind and after some time they realize their time is finished. So when you want to start you study keep everything aside and before you start finish everything what you suppose to do, do not think of anything for future. But although mind will drag you, try to pull it and keep doing your study, do not keep cell phones, remotes etc. Make your study room neat and clean, put photograph (Krisnha along with Cow or learning in His gurukul) front of yours. Do not change your place every day instead sit every day at one place. Avoid noisy area, disturbance and gossips.

Get yourself a Study Partner: Try to call one of your scholar friend and study together and this way if you can ask him your doubts and together you can do better. In this kaliyuga you can not do anything alone if you keep yourself lonely you do some wrong thing so better keep your good friend with you. Chose one topic both and prepare in given time and ask one by one about your preparation.

No Caffeine: Most of student drinks tea/coffee and keep chocolates along with them while studying, it gives relax for sometimes but not for long run but it makes your body lazy. Better keep fresh water in earthen pot and drink (don’t just gulp it but try to take it sip by sip slowly) it when you feel sleepy.
Don’t be a thief: While studying student focus more on surrounding rather than their books and this way if something happens their mind goes immediately over there. So first of all you should understand, you are not the thief so be free, let anything happen outside you just keep your focus on study, even if someone enter in your room do not look behind until and unless someone call you.

Purity and Prayer: It is very important to keep yourself neat and clean with proper dress, this is very important because if we are not pure from outside, we cannot focus on anything. So make yourself bathed, dressed and close your eyes hold your palms and pray to Krishna by chanting Mahamantra, “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.” Then start you study.

Nectar in the beginning but Poison in end

He was young and belonging from rich family, he entered into the compartment and seated next to me.  Long and stylist hair, branded watch on wrist, iPhone in hand but he was loosing his control. Started abusing someone on phone and shouting out very louder, people was looking at him.  He was fully drunken and started vomiting, people thrown out him out of train and he slayed down at platform. Story is not over yet, I was thinking is this our modern education we are providing to our children and in the name of facilities we are giving them huge money, branded gadgets, but being an guarding do we ever try to esquire what they do and, which type of association they keep?  Once these things comes in their hands they start thinking, no one is greater than me and due to false ego they disrespect elder people.  But one thing they forget, disrespecting elder people only harmful to them because elderly people only teach them morality and good lesson. And being an elder person...

Depression vs Satisfaction

There are two types of people live in this world, one who live a satisfied life and one who goes into depression when something goes wrong in their life. A satisfied person can stay happy all the time in any circumstances but a person who looks for sense pleasure and thinks sense objects is going to give happiness to me always goes into depression, if he does not get pleasure from an objects or person. And the secret of satisfactions is to see opportunity in every aspects whether it is success or failure. Many of us become happy when we get success but become sad when failure comes in our life. We must remember one thing, in our life success and failure is not going to stay forever with anyone. A very successful person has to face even failure sometimes in his life. A satisfied person knows it very well, that is why he does not goes in to depression for his failure but he learn from it and move on. A very beautiful quotes by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, "Don't read success stories, yo...
